Artist Bio

Georgianne's unique style of intricate free-hand pyrography has been gaining international recognition. Her collaborations with her brother-in-law, professional woodturner Mike Jackofsky, have been included in numerous art exhibitions, art auctions, museums, and various publications. The American Association of Woodturners highlighted Georgianne and Mike on the back cover of their February 2022 (vol. 37, no. 1) American Woodturner: Journal of the American Association of Woodturners. They are featured in the yearly volumes Masters of Contemporary Wood Art, and the Navigator series appeared on the cover of the Craft Supplies USA 2016 Woodturners Catalogue. Their collaborations can be found at Wood Symphony Gallery.

Georgianne also applies her original pyrographic and ink designs on husband Rick's unique and much sought after Navajo spindles.

When not "writing with fire," Georgianne may be found traveling around the country playing acoustic American roots music with her husband and daughters in their family band, The Homegrown String Band..

Georgianne creates her art in a seaside community on the north shore of Long Island.
